Q. How to drill rebar embedded in concrete? |
A. When drilling a hole into concrete, there is a high chance to hit the concrete-embedded rebar. We provide a unique product, HAA Rebar Cutter, for you to cut through rebar easily! Find more information in our article: How to drill rebar embedded in concrete? |
Q. How to use a step drill properly? |
A. Step drills are drill bits easy to cut and enlarge a wide range of holes on thin sheet metal, plastic and other materials at a lower speed. Due to the stepped design of multiple diameters, you can drill different-sized holes by one or two step drills. Find more information in our article: How to use a step drill properly? Q. How to drill a screw hole in sheet metal faster? |
A. Usually, a burr-free screw hole (tapped hole) is created by using a drill bit, a countersink and a tap which really takes time. Our 3 in 1 Drill Tap (spiral flute and straight flute) combines Drill bit, Tap and Countersink into ONE tool for you to drill a screw hole in just ONE step! Q. How to choose a drill tap size? |
A. Example1: M6x1.0 drill tap is for M6 screw X = M6 means the outside diameter of the screw and the tap = 6mm Y = Pitch of the screw (distance between threads) = 0.5mm X – Y = Diameter of pilot drill and inner diameter of the screw and the tap = 6 - 1.0 = 5mm Example2: 8-32NC drill tap is for size 8 screw with 32 threads per inch X = the outside diameter of the screw and the tap = 4.17mm Y = Pitch of the screw (distance between threads) = 0.79mm X – Y = Diameter of pilot drill and inner diameter of the screw and the tap = 4.17 - 0.79 = 3.38mm! Q. Do we need to add a water-coolant device? What should we do? |
A. To increase the working performance, a water-coolant device is necessary. Most of TCT Annular Cutters and HSS Annular Cutters need the water-coolant device; however, there is an exception for Hole Cutters. |
Q. When it becomes difficult to cut, what can we do? |
A. When the material is too hard to cut , please use the products contain Cobalt or use T.C.T. Annular cutter products.
